Sr. Julienne Guy Academic Scholarship for Incoming 7th and 9th Graders

Incoming 7th and 9th graders are encouraged to register now to vie for one of three academic scholarships. Testing will be on Saturday, December 7 and 14, but you must register to participate.

Cardinal Newman School is pleased to offer the Sister Julienne Guy Academic Scholarship.

Who is eligible? Incoming 7th and 9th grade students

What is the scholarship award? We will offer three to five scholarships between $2,000 and $4,000 each depending on the number of awards.

How do I apply for this scholarship? Every student must complete an admissions application, register to take an academic abilities test, and write an essay.

What are the dates, times, and location for this test?
• Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 9:00 AM
• Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 9:00 AM
• The 90-minute test will take place at Cardinal Newman, 2945 Alpine Road

Sr. Julienne graduated from Ursuline High School in 1948 and Ursuline College in Louisville, Kentucky, and her ministry was in Catholic education for over 45 years. She served as a teacher at St. Peter’s Catholic School and Cardinal Newman and as principal of both St. Joseph Catholic School and Cardinal Newman, where was responsible for starting the middle school. In addition, she taught in in elementary schools in Kentucky, West Virginia, Nebraska, and Ohio and served in administrative roles in Ohio and Kentucky. Sr. Julienne currently resides in Kentucky with her Ursuline Order.
