DeLaSalle Students Provide Blankets and Supplies to Patients at Prisma Health Children's Hospital

Serving with loving hearts and happy souls, our DeLaSalle students have been busy for months making no-sew blankets for the children at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital. Today, they hosted a reception and welcomed two Child Life Specialists from the Hospital so they could present the blankets, but they surprised them with much more!

“The original idea was for each of the seven students to make one blanket, but they loved the project so much they made additional blankets and collected items from the Children’s Hospital wish list,” said Assistant Director of Specialized Learning Stacy Carns. Students even sold Christmas ornaments to help fund this project. “This has been a wonderful opportunity for our students to give of themselves in this unique way. All of the DLS students agree they are ready to get to work making more blankets to donate for next year!”
